Maison de Terre is a wonderful, spacious house that can accommodate up to 6 people. Through the enclosed garden, you enter a large kitchen with plenty of space to cook comfortably. On this floor, you will also find the cozy living room with a dining table for 6 people, a comfortable seating area, and a fireplace for snug evenings.

Next to it, there is a stylish bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower. This floor also features a charming (children’s) bedroom with two comfortable box spring beds!

On the second floor, there is another spacious bedroom with a large box spring bed (180 x 210) and an en-suite bathroom—perfect for those who love to indulge!

Immerse yourself in the delightful swimming pool or relax in one of the sun loungers around it. Explore the surroundings with their many idyllic villages, gently flowing rivers, and friendly locals.

We are Bas and Vera, living and working in the Netherlands near Rotterdam with our 2 boys, Sam and Dex, and since we were both young, we've been frequent travelers to France. The area is vast and diverse in nature, culture, and history, with a wonderful climate. Not only are the cities beautiful, but also the forests, many small rivers, and rolling hills. The food and drink are delicious, and the people are incredibly kind and welcoming.

After visiting quite a few towns and houses, the house in Cherval felt like coming home. Surrounded by sunflower fields, hills, and tranquility, you can enjoy all the beauty the Dordogne has to offer. Since we can't be in our house year-round, we rent it out to vacationers as private individuals. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do!

Vera’s property in charming Cherval has been recently converted and is absolutely beautiful. The kitchen has everything you need with plenty of crockery, glasses and cutlery (including for small children - a nice touch), the bathrooms are lovely and the beds are super comfortable. Vera’s property in charming Cherval has been recently converted and is absolutely beautiful. The kitchen has everything you need with plenty of crockery, glasses and cutlery (including for small children - a nice touch), the bathrooms are lovely and the beds are super comfortable. The terrace is thankfully in the shade for most of the day and the pool is bigger than expected, very clean and a complete joy with amazing sun loungers. There is a lovely restaurant 100m away and a boulangerie/epicerie opposite (a real bonus as the hamlet is tiny). We had a wonderful 4 nights there.
The only downside was that the church bells rang for 5 minutes every morning at 7am - not a problem if you can go straight back to sleep. There also isn’t much to do in the immediate vicinity, but that suited us fine!
Also - and not a complaint, but more for info - there isn’t any toilet roll (only enough for the first day or two), hand soap, washing powder or toiletries.
We’d definitely stay again.

Wij hebben ontzettend genoten van onze vakantie bij La Maison du Sellier in Cherval. Voor ons was het een paar dagen totale rust en volledige privacy – precies wat we nodig hadden. Even zonder kinderen er tussenuit, en we hebben hier een ware oase van rust gevonden.

Het huisje zelf was van alle gemakken voorzien en zelfs ruimschoots uitgerust: van uitgebreid bestek en servies tot hoogwaardig linnen. Alles voelde verzorgd en doordacht aan. De badkamers straalden pure luxe uit, waren brandschoon en zagen er gloednieuw uit.

De omgeving rondom La Maison du Sellier biedt ook meer dan genoeg om te ontdekken. Zo is er een gezellige bakker om de hoek en hebben wij genoten van een heerlijke wijnproeverij in de buurt.

Eigenaren Bas en Vera hebben echt oog voor detail en zorgen dat je je meteen thuis voelt. Wij raden La Maison du Sellier Cherval van harte aan aan iedereen die op zoek is naar comfort, luxe en ultieme rust in een prachtige omgeving.

Fantastisch huis met alles erop en eraan en een fijn zwembad om in af te koelen. Rustig dorpje (typisch Dordogne). Veel te doen in de omgeving (wel even voor rijden).

Wat hebben we genoten!
Het huis is heel compleet. Alles is er.. en ruimte genoeg voor het hele gezin.
Modern ingericht met een heerlijke tuin en zwembad. De kinderen konden tafeltennissen, voetballen, badmintonnen en uiteraard zwemmen.
Ideaal dat er een bakker naast de deur zit, waar je heerlijk ontbijt kunt …

Wat hebben we genoten!
Het huis is heel compleet. Alles is er.. en ruimte genoeg voor het hele gezin.
Modern ingericht met een heerlijke tuin en zwembad. De kinderen konden tafeltennissen, voetballen, badmintonnen en uiteraard zwemmen.
Ideaal dat er een bakker naast de deur zit, waar je heerlijk ontbijt kunt halen en die ook wat kleine boodschappen verkoopt.
De laatste avond afgesloten bij restaurant chez Hannah. Dat was ook geen teleurstelling. Heerlijk gegeten. Kortom; voor herhaling vatbaar!!

Het huis was prachtig en gelegen in een rustige omgeving, ideaal voor een ontspannen vakantie.
En met een bakker om de hoek voor heerlijke verse broodjes elke morgen!
